The Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Senior Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Atlas' Supply Chain related activities. This position will oversee all strategic sourcing activities related to the procurement of commodities from intent through delivery. The role involves scheduling, coordinating, and closely monitoring all production activities for the manufacturing team while optimizing inventory control processes. The manager will develop organizational strategies, practices, processes, and metrics that will provide the company with a world-class purchasing and production planning organization. In this role, the manager will effectively lead, hire, develop, and enable the Procurement Organization to achieve strategic objectives in a continuous improvement environment. They will analyze, develop, and maintain a consolidated supplier base to meet the current and future needs of all purchased materials and services. The manager will also manage and facilitate all facets of procurement activities, including vendor evaluations, site audits, and continuous improvement processes for all suppliers. Additionally, the manager will understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations, and the strategic importance of critical commodities to implement appropriate sourcing strategies. They will develop metrics, including external benchmarks, to monitor performance and ensure that these metrics support corporate objectives and performance indicators. The manager will be directly responsible and accountable for material spend/cost reduction, supplier performance, and inventory management. They will partner and collaborate with other functions to support strategic goals for sourcing materials, equipment, and services while ensuring ethical principles and standards of purchasing practices are upheld. The role also includes developing, monitoring, and controlling departmental operating and capital budgets, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and quality system requirements, and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process using tools such as Lean Six Sigma. The manager will create and manage business unit processes around supplier contracts, supplier qualification, and the engineering change approval process, while staying abreast of best practices, current and future policies and procedures, regulatory and trade requirements, and market dynamics relevant to the function.
