About the position
Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. This includes pumping peanut butter into jars, oil into cars, gluing shoe soles, sealing windows, and spraying finishes on vehicles and coatings on pills. Graco is a part of daily life and is committed to quality, innovation, and solving customer problems. The Global Strategic Sourcing Intern will assist and support the strategic sourcing team with cost reduction, quality improvement, and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market intelligence allowing for data collection and analysis on major commodity and part cost drivers.
- Monitor key department metrics on a weekly basis.
- Track and monitor first article supplier tool building.
- Support supplier risk mitigation initiative.
- Support conflict minerals and trade compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Entering College junior level or higher, pursuing a four-year degree in business or supply chain management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent PC skills and MS Office experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Course work or experience in supply chain or manufacturing preferred.
