About the position

The Global Strategy & Transformation Practice Lead at Wood will oversee the Digital Advisory business, focusing on helping clients achieve value from strategic transformation initiatives. This role involves leading a global team, engaging with clients to understand their challenges, and applying design thinking principles to deliver sustainable solutions in asset management and digitalization, particularly in energy, materials, and life sciences sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Program manage or lead project teams focusing on client problem understanding and agile execution.
  • Drive business growth in line with targets for the Digital Advisory group.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to industry-leading standards while achieving target margins.
  • Strategically resource the global Strategy & Transformation team, focusing on key delivery centers.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across Wood and Partners for effective collaboration.
  • Lead key account sales and marketing efforts, including client meetings and conferences.
  • Develop global/regional pricing models for Strategy & Transformation services.
  • Represent relevant services in conferences and lead industry panels.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 25+ years of experience in energy, materials, and decarbonization sectors, with at least 5 years in a Strategy & Transformation advisory role.
  • Deep expertise in energy and minerals industries, including digital transformation and strategy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and champion of Design Thinking.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Strong communication skills with high emotional intelligence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Agile project delivery methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of sector technology and market trends.
  • Proposal and project costing experience.
