About the position
The Data Science Analytics Intern will support the Global Supply Chain and Operations team during the summer of 2025. This role focuses on providing data analysis support to enhance operations and enable better decision-making through timely and high-quality data. Interns will work on diverse projects, including developing reports, data visualizations, and leveraging analytical/machine learning techniques to uncover insights and improve performance against critical KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead or assist in creating/optimizing ML forecasts.
- Conduct anomaly detection in reporting.
- Analyze metric KPIs to identify potential drivers.
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from various sources.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and trends.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Excel and Power BI.
- Support the team in building predictive models using statistical or machine learning techniques.
- Help identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights.
- Present findings to internal stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Present project findings to management with recommendations for future analysis at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- Progress towards a bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written technical communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to translate business needs into requirements and distill insights from data.
- Reliable transportation required to get to and from the facility each work day.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
