About the position

The Global Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in leading teams of experts from supply chain and partner organizations, as well as developers, to design, develop, and deliver supply chain capabilities and business processes. This position is primarily focused on strategic procurement, planning, costing, and related processes. The ideal candidate will independently apply their supply chain and project management knowledge to guide the project team in addressing complex business challenges. This role requires a proactive approach to developing new ideas and methods, driving solutions to intricate problems that necessitate a thorough evaluation of various factors. In this capacity, the Global Supply Chain Manager will lead cross-functional teams, providing direction and guidance to develop and deploy capabilities, processes, and policies. The project manager will represent the project to internal stakeholders and will exercise independent judgment to achieve the program or project objectives. Responsibilities include leading large cross-functional program teams composed of senior subject matter experts and developers, defining use cases and requirements, and ensuring a smooth transition to operationalize new capabilities through effective development, testing, training, and implementation. The role also involves facilitating project team and sponsor engagement, creating and delivering project updates, and ensuring project tracking. The manager will be responsible for leading and reporting at all organizational levels, typically engaging with subject matter experts, senior strategy and operations managers, and directors. Identifying required project resources, including supply chain subject matter experts and program management resources, is also a key responsibility. The manager will define and manage project timelines, resources, and scope, while delivering relevant project communications, artifacts, and deliverables. Additionally, advising senior management to help drive decisions, develop strategies, and meet stakeholder objectives is crucial to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large cross functional program teams of senior subject matter experts & developers.
  • Define use cases & requirements, define solutions, drive development, testing, training, and implementation to ensure a smooth and timely transition to operationalize new capabilities.
  • Facilitate project team and sponsor engagement, create and deliver project updates, ensure project tracking.
  • Lead and report at all levels of the organization, typically engaging with subject matter experts, senior strategy and operations managers, and directors.
  • Identify required project resources, including supply chain subject matter experts, and program management and development resources.
  • Define and manage project timelines, resources, and scope.
  • Deliver relevant project communications, artifacts, and deliverables.
  • Advise senior management to help drive decisions, develop strategies, organizational alignment and meet stakeholder objectives.

Requirements

  • First level university degree; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically, 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations, procurement, or finance.
  • Advanced understanding and experience in supply chain & procurement processes; knowledge of planning and finance operations are beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain systems and architecture, including ERP systems, business intelligence, strategic sourcing, and product costing (Fiori, SAP HANA S4, preferred).
  • Experience with solutions which support procurement fulfillment processes, data management, procure to pay and product costing processes.
  • Demonstrated success leading and deploying large scale business process, software development, business intelligence or data modeling projects.
  • Proven ability to independently lead and collaborate with large cross functional teams to ensure proper integration & project execution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, execution, and successful solution delivery through structured project methodologies.
  • Effectively communicate at multiple levels from individual contributors to vice presidents.
  • Experience with business process analysis, process definition and design.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, data management applications, project management tools and other relevant technology (such as, MS Access, Power BI, JIRA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills; mastery in English.
  • Excellent team, project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills, including project structuring.
