About The Position
As the Global Supply Chain and Strategy Director for Vaccines and Immune Therapies at AstraZeneca, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and optimizing product supply chains throughout their lifecycle. This position is critical for making data-driven recommendations for investment decisions and providing product and brand guidance to senior managers within Operations. You will represent Operations and product supply on AstraZeneca's Global Product Teams and other senior product partner forums, ensuring that the supply chain is aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. In this role, you will have overall strategic accountability for the design and performance of supply chains for a portfolio of products in key Therapy Areas, focusing on driving excellent customer service, responsiveness, and cost efficiency. You will be responsible for managing relationships across various functions, ensuring that forecasts are regularly aligned with Oncology and Vaccines & Immune Therapy teams, and that these insights are incorporated into Product Strategy Plans. Your leadership will extend to collaborating with site and functional representatives globally, translating strategic directions into actionable supply plans, and recommending additional capacity or investment as needed. You will oversee the supply chain from clinical development through to the end of the product lifecycle, optimizing the value chain and managing supply risk effectively. This includes creating and deploying robust Business Continuity plans to prevent supply disruptions and ensuring timely product launches. You will regularly represent your brands in senior governance interactions, showcasing your communication, influencing, and partner management skills.
