About the position

The Global Supply Manager will oversee supply chain readiness to support manufacturing goals at an AI Robotics company. This junior-level position involves acting as the point of contact for supply chain activities, ensuring that suppliers meet delivery targets and that materials are available for production. The role requires collaboration with various teams to align sourcing activities with product development timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a supply chain readiness tool to track all supply chain activities for robot manufacturing.
  • Manage purchase order (PO) processes, including release, acknowledgment, materials tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Resolve supplier invoicing issues in collaboration with the internal finance team.
  • Provide regular materials readiness updates to the engineering team.
  • Develop internal metrics to track supply chain milestones and maintain a communication platform.
  • Plan and execute the materials plan to ensure availability and readiness for use.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure a steady supply of materials from suppliers to contract manufacturers (CMs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to align sourcing activities with product development and production timelines.
  • Implement and maintain robust supplier performance metrics.
  • Assist or lead various sourcing projects across different commodities as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in supply chain management or sourcing management.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing practices/techniques, including CNC machined parts, sheet metal, stampings, castings, injection molding, vacuum forming, plastic parts, textiles, wire harnesses, and PCBA.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Skilled at establishing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel internationally 25%+.

  • Previous work at a startup or on a very lean team.
  • Robotics industry experience.
