About the position

The Global Talent Project Coordinator at General Motors will serve as a strategic planner and launch captain for new learning programs across all functions within the company. This role is pivotal in crafting and overseeing the rollout plan and communications for both new and existing learning offerings. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the Global Talent information sites and supporting materials that are accessible to employees, ensuring that all resources are up-to-date and effectively communicated. In this position, the coordinator will collaborate closely with Talent leadership and teams to stay informed about upcoming and existing programming. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in talent management strategy and/or communications, with a preference for experience in a technical talent management function. The role requires a proactive approach to developing creative and innovative strategies to drive learning engagement across the organization. The Global Talent Project Coordinator will report directly to the Global Talent Program Manager, making it essential to have strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate an ambiguous and continually changing environment. This position is designed for someone who thrives in a collaborative, team-centric culture and can influence others without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement communications strategies for launching new learning programs to the company
  • Create and oversee cross-functional project plans for new learning launches
  • Maintain internal websites for sharing information about all Global Talent team learning offerings and performance management processes
  • Collaborate closely with Talent leadership and teams to stay connected on upcoming and existing programming
  • Develop creative and innovative ways to drive learning engagement

Requirements

  • 3+ years of communications, strategy, project management or other relevant experience
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively in an ambiguous and continually changing environment
  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills, with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an action-oriented, decision-making environment and be decisive
  • Organized with strong ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong consulting and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-centric culture and influence others without authority
  • Skilled in using MS Office to manage various activities efficiently
