About the position

The Global Talent Specialist is a 12-month paid internship within the Global Talent team at MiTek, focusing on enhancing the team member experience through various HR initiatives. The role involves managing projects related to talent management and development, creating training materials, and collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver the Global Talent agenda. This position is ideal for individuals eager to apply their knowledge in a dynamic environment while contributing to the development of new programs and content.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of core people processes including performance management, leadership assessments, and employee surveys.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations for leaders and team members.
  • Manage survey initiatives from start to finish, including designing content and analyzing results.
  • Increase learner engagement by implementing strategies for learning platform utilization.
  • Support learning initiatives by creating and organizing support materials for various stakeholders.
  • Develop presentations and communications to convey Learning and Development offerings.
  • Curate learning content to build targeted courses aligned with business needs.
  • Assist in project management to ensure alignment with timelines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Measure and track the success of talent initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyze employee data to deliver insights regarding employee attitudes and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a related field is preferred.
  • 1 or more years of applied experience in talent management or talent development (internships acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and statistical software such as SPSS or R.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated to learn new technologies such as learning management systems and HR information systems.
  • Capable of building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
  • Detail and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptable with a flexible work style.
  • Proactive approach to work, anticipating stakeholder needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with training design platforms.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems.
