About the position

The Global Trade Compliance Manager for the Americas at Crocs is responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations while managing duty spend within the company's network. This role involves overseeing the Global Classification Program, collaborating with various teams, and identifying opportunities for process improvements to maintain compliance across all jurisdictions in the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Global Classification Program for Crocs and HEYDUDE.
  • Develop and maintain classification guidelines, procedures, and best practices while conducting audits for HTS classification and accuracy.
  • Classify footwear and accessory products at the 6-digit level HTS and work closely with Global Trade regional managers for global HTS mappings.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Logistics, and Legal teams to align on trade compliance initiatives.
  • Partner with Product Design/Development teams to forecast duty impact for both brands.
  • Identify tariff engineering opportunities where applicable.
  • Support classification claims to US Customs and other relevant Customs authorities across the Americas as needed.
  • Maintain Crocs & HEYDUDE duty rate charts.
  • Serve as a liaison with customs brokers, trade consultants, and external partners to optimize compliance processes and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and present classification and duty seminars throughout the year, including periodic reporting on the Global Classification Program and training of internal teams on trade compliance issues and HTS classification processes.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and implement solutions.
  • Uphold best practices to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions in the Americas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant Trade Compliance experience.
  • Strong understanding of HTS classifications (experience with footwear a plus).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and stay organized.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Takes initiative to generate ideas to drive business and contribute to organizational effectiveness.
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple cross-functional groups.
