About the position

The Global Trade Specialist at Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch is responsible for managing and optimizing international trade operations within the aerospace sector. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with global regulations, implementing strategic solutions, and fostering cooperation with team members and customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, export control laws, and customs requirements for aerospace products.
• Identify and implement the right export licenses for collaboration with international co-workers and customers.
• Create and lead a robust export classification process to assign correct ECCN and HTS codes to products and technical data.
• Identify potential trade risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Review and select a global trade tool that integrates with ERP and PLM systems to automate global trade compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with international partners, government agencies, and trade organizations.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams on global trade best practices and compliance requirements.
• Prepare reports and presentations on trade performance, market trends, and compliance issues for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in global trade, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in aerospace or a similar industry.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, ECCN classification, export licenses, tariffs, and customs processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to create clear work instructions for training purposes.
• Proficiency in trade management software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with international export of commercial and military aerospace products.
• Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
