About the position

Central Buick GMC of Norwood is looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join their team. This full-time role involves assessing vehicle maintenance and repair needs, recommending service options, and ensuring timely completion of services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry and strong communication skills, working in a fast-paced environment to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns and needs
  • Inspect vehicles and provide accurate and detailed repair estimates
  • Educate customers on recommended maintenance and repair services
  • Schedule appointments and communicate repair status with customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all repair orders and documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all products, services, and promotions offered by the dealership
  • Collaborate with technicians and other team members to ensure efficient flow of work within the service department
  • Utilize computer systems and software to track customer interactions and vehicle service history

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry or a related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of service management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test
