About the position

The GMP Technician III position at Bristol Myers Squibb involves participating in and promoting a strong safety culture while performing maintenance and operational tasks in a GMP manufacturing environment. The role requires a self-motivated individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting, with effective communication skills and a focus on high performance. The technician will coordinate teams and vendors, operate and maintain various facility and manufacturing equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and encourage a strong Safety culture.
  • Coordinate teams and vendors to complete tasks.
  • Operate and maintain GMP and non-GMP building and utility systems, including air handlers, fans, chillers, boilers, and water systems.
  • Utilize the site's Building Automation/Maintenance System (BAS/BMS) to monitor and troubleshoot building utilities.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot on-demand issues affecting operations, including on-call emergencies.
  • Address general maintenance requests serving office, laboratory, and manufacturing operations.
  • Establish and adhere to all safety procedures and practices affecting building facilities and utilities.
  • Represent facility operations on the site's safety committee.
  • Establish and manage service providers and vendor contracts related to maintenance and repair of facility and utility equipment.
  • Schedule, record, and track maintenance events and work orders using the site's asset management system.
  • Maintain pertinent documentation and equipment files in accordance with GMP record keeping practices.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; technical degree preferred and/or equivalent experience in GMP manufacturing environment performing facilities maintenance.
  • 5+ years of related experience in building maintenance, specifically including HVAC/air handling systems, heating/cooling systems, plumbing and piping systems, and power/lighting.
  • Direct experience working in GMP facilities with a thorough understanding of GMP record keeping and documentation practices.
  • Experience in cGMP / GxP Facilities and Operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Blue Mountain BMRAM preferred.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Knowledgeable in Building Automation/Management Systems.
  • Competent in general building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and wiring.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cGMP / GxP Facilities and Operations.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Blue Mountain BMRAM.
