About the position

The Golang Developer/Engineer position is a long-term contract role based in Phoenix, AZ, requiring expertise in modern development stacks, particularly Golang. The role involves designing and developing REST APIs, working in an Agile environment, and utilizing various database technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and a passion for learning new technologies to create innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop REST APIs for high volume clients.
• Participate in application design, software development, and testing in an Agile environment.
• Utilize relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or Cassandra.
• Implement continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab CI.
• Work with container and container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate using Atlassian software development tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Contribute to automated build and test frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Golang, Kafka, and REST API development.
• Experience with application design and software development in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or Cassandra.
• Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners.
