About the position

The Golang Developer Relations Engineer for AI Agents at Google is responsible for fostering a community of developers who utilize Google technologies. This role combines elements of community management and developer advocacy, focusing on enhancing the developer experience across the software development lifecycle. The engineer will collaborate with product engineering teams, write sample code, and participate in developer forums to troubleshoot issues, while also representing developer interests internally at Google.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product engagement and identify user needs.
• Attend or facilitate conferences and events to gain and share insights on user experience and technologies.
• Lead strategic developer programs and act as an authority in the domain.
• Contribute input and feedback on products or programs, and represent the interests of partners to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
• 3 years of experience with Go (i.e. Golang).

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of experience with AI.
• Ability to take ownership of solutions and exert influence without authority.
