The Golang Developer position at Insight Global involves working with a Fortune 500 financial client on various modernization and transformation projects. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence three times a week in either Phoenix, AZ or NYC, NY, and is structured as a 9-12 month contract with the potential for permanent conversion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang.
• Design and implement REST APIs from scratch.
• Work with microservice architecture to develop scalable applications.
• Participate in application design, software development, and testing in an Agile environment.
• Utilize version control tools such as Git/GitHub for code management.
• Interact with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• At least 1 year of recent experience with Golang.
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with microservice architecture and developing microservices using Golang.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies in software development.
• Proficient in using Git/GitHub for version control.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and DynamoDB.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Gitlab CI.
• Experience working in cloud environments.
• Relevant certifications in software development or Golang.
