Golang Developer

About the position

The Golang Developer position is a contract role based in Charlotte, NC, requiring expertise in Golang and additional programming languages. The role focuses on developing and implementing applications, particularly in a microservices architecture, and involves working with various database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of web design and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement applications using Golang and other programming languages.
• Design and build microservices in a production environment.
• Work with RESTful and SOAP services.
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment.
• Utilize YAML and JSON file formats for configuration and data exchange.
• Design data persistence systems using SQL and NoSQL databases.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Golang.
• 1+ years of experience in an additional language such as Java, .NET, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience with RESTful and/or SOAP services.
• 2+ years of Agile experience.
• 1+ years of experience with YAML and JSON file formats.
• 3+ years of SQL experience with Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MongoDB.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of UI web design experience utilizing HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and Ajax.
• 5+ years of application development and implementation experience.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
