About the position

Infosys is seeking a Golang developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), gather accurate requirements, and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
  • Apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and scope of development.
  • Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
  • Develop and adhere to best practices for developing scalable applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Golang, including a deep understanding of its syntax, advanced features, and standard library.
  • Familiarity with Go routines and channel patterns, as well as experience in writing high-performance Go code.
  • Experience working with C, C++ programs, analyze C programs, document functionalities, and use it as input to design and develop Golang routines.
  • Ability to write concurrent programs in Go, with a strong understanding of threading, synchronization, and non-blocking I/O.
  • Experience in writing unit and integration tests in Go, using tools like GoTest.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and performance profiling.
  • Experience with Go frameworks and tools like Gorilla, GORM, and Revel.
  • Proficiency in integrating with various databases, both SQL (like PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (like MongoDB, CosmosDB).
  • Understanding of ORM tools and experience in writing efficient queries.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 3 years of experience working with the Go programming language.
  • Experience in software development life cycle.
  • Experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance/Production Support projects.
  • Experience in Design and architecture review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
