About the position

We are seeking a talented Golang Developer with a strong background in Python to join our team in either Mclean, VA or Plano, TX. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working both remotely and in the office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development using Golang, as well as proficiency in Python. Additionally, strong UI experience with React is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for developing and enhancing user interfaces. Familiarity with AWS is also required, as our applications are hosted on this platform. This position is critical to our development team, and we are looking for someone who can contribute effectively to our projects and collaborate with other developers and stakeholders. The hiring manager is eager to fill this position soon, and preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Mclean or Plano areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Golang.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in both Golang and Python.
  • Design and implement APIs for various applications.
  • Utilize AWS services for application deployment and management.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.

Requirements
