About the position

Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a senior Golang developer for a full-time role with a large healthcare client out of South Florida. This position is designed for candidates who have a strong background in Golang development, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the field. The ideal candidate will also possess at least 2 years of experience working with AWS and Scala, as these skills are essential for the role. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for collaborating with various levels of management within the organization, ensuring that the development processes align with the overall engineering and architectural goals set by the company. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. You will report directly to the Director of Engineering & Architecture, providing you with the opportunity to influence key decisions and contribute to the strategic direction of the projects you will be involved in. Your expertise in Golang, combined with your experience in cloud technologies and functional programming, will be critical in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our healthcare client.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Golang.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with AWS services to deploy and manage applications in the cloud.
• Utilize Scala for functional programming tasks as required by the project.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions with the engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Golang development.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Scala programming language.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with management.
