About the position
The NDT Maintenance Technician position at Barrick Gold Corporation involves utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to ensure the optimal performance of mobile equipment. This role is part of a collaborative and diverse team within the Maintenance department, focusing on safety and sustainability in the mining industry.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data on all types of mobile equipment using predictive maintenance technologies
- Perform vibration analysis, oil analysis, Infra-Red and Ultrasonic
- Create and maintain databases for each technology
- Generate and distribute condition and follow-up reports to all levels of management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven safety record required
- Excellent attendance record required
- Previous training and experience with application of predictive maintenance technologies and associated software and hardware preferred
- Industrial maintenance skills equivalent to four (4) years as a journeyman preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of process equipment preferred
- Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, along with MP5 preferred
- Ability to schedule and prioritize workload required
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
