About the position

The Golf Course Pro Shop Supervisor at T&R Properties is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cumberland Trails Golf Club's Pro Shop. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and coordinating with various departments to enhance the overall golfing experience. The supervisor will handle reservations, manage inventory, and support the General Manager in achieving operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships in Customer Service, ensuring all reservation questions, cancellations, and confirmations are handled professionally and timely.
  • Monitor facility and building issues, including cleanliness and emergency situations.
  • Ensure Golf Shop Staff accurately check in all fees and maintain proper accounting and recordkeeping.
  • Provide leadership and vision to Golf Operations Staff.
  • Execute the hiring process for Golf Operations.
  • Attend management and staff meetings as requested.
  • Work a minimum of 8 hours per week behind the Golf Shop counter during the season and 16 hours per week in the off-season.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors and the General Manager regarding facility and program updates.
  • Assist the General Manager with financial and operational performance of Golf Operations.
  • Oversee Daily Close, Invoicing, Costing, and Inventory functions in G1/Golf 360 Pro.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and inventory control of goods and special orders.
  • Plan and execute League Play, Tournaments, Public and Member Events, and Outings.
  • Ensure safety precautions are taken to prevent accidents.
  • Coordinate with the Head Golf Professional of the Delaware Golf Club on operations requiring PGA expertise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background in hospitality/customer service.
  • Foundational understanding of the game of golf.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supervising staff in a hospitality or golf operations environment.
  • Knowledge of point of sale (POS) systems and internet-based Tee Time processes.
