About the position

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Google Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in addressing Google Cloud Platform IAM exceptions, fixing Prisma Cloud alerts, Google CSPR remediations, and collaborating with Cloud Foundations teams. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of Google Cloud Platform security and compliance frameworks, and the ability to implement and maintain robust cloud security measures. In this position, you will be responsible for managing Google Cloud Platform IAM, ensuring secure and compliant access to cloud resources by identifying and addressing IAM exceptions. You will also monitor and resolve security alerts generated by Prisma Cloud, implementing necessary remediations to mitigate risks. Performing Google Cloud Security Posture Review (CSPR) remediations will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring adherence to security policies and best practices. Collaboration with Cloud Foundations teams is essential, as you will work closely with them to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and services. Continuous monitoring of the Google Cloud Platform environment for security threats is crucial, and you will need to respond to incidents promptly to minimize impact. Additionally, you will develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations and improve efficiency. Documentation and reporting are also important aspects of this role. You will maintain comprehensive documentation of security processes, incidents, and remediation actions, providing regular reports on security posture and compliance status. Staying current with the latest Google Cloud Platform services, security trends, and best practices will help you continuously enhance the organization's cloud security posture. Finally, you will provide support and training to internal teams on Google Cloud Platform security tools and practices, promoting a culture of security awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address Google Cloud Platform Identity and Access Management (IAM) exceptions to ensure secure and compliant access to cloud resources.
  • Monitor and resolve security alerts generated by Prisma Cloud, implementing necessary remediations to mitigate risks.
  • Perform Google Cloud Security Posture Review (CSPR) remediations, ensuring adherence to security policies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Google Cloud Platform Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on security and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform IAM, Prisma Cloud, and Google CSPR.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Cloud Foundations teams to implement secure cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services and tools, including IAM, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Kubernetes Engine.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation purposes.
