In search of an ideal candidate, we seek someone with an established track record in shaping cloud infrastructure and executing cloud engineering strategies, prioritizing automation and security. As the Senior Cloud Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass constructing and deploying various elements of cloud infrastructure within a hybrid cloud setting, spanning across Azure and Google Cloud Platform platforms. Your role will entail spearheading the implementation of solutions from a methodical standpoint, alongside conducting routine maintenance and updates to pre-existing frameworks. You will lead the design, implementation, and administration of cloud-based infrastructure with an automation and security-first approach. This includes building life cycle automation for various public cloud services using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible. Security will be a primary focus, ensuring that it is integrated into every aspect of our operations, from Cloud Infrastructure to OS, VM, Containers, Kubernetes, and APIs. Vulnerability management is critical, and you will establish a robust process with scalable automation to maintain the security of both production and non-production environments. Collaboration with the InfoSec team will be essential to effectively communicate and execute security requirements. You will also be responsible for building the DevOps and DevSecOps program vision and strategy, covering all aspects from architecture, design, development, and deployment, including CI/CD and Secure CI/CD practices. Documentation is key, and you will produce excellent deployment diagrams and architecture documentation. Additionally, you will build various KPIs for cloud infrastructure and communicate these effectively to the leadership team. On-demand production support will be part of your responsibilities, and you will also train and mentor junior engineers in the team. Collaboration with the development team is crucial to ensure that business-focused applications are delivered on time with the necessary infrastructure needs and architecture. Finally, you will optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
