About the position
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer position focuses on managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure for a prominent streaming delivery company. This role involves working with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform to support the company's core streaming product, ensuring efficient continuous integration and deployment processes. The position offers a long-term contract with a strong emphasis on work-life balance, requiring in-person attendance once a month at the Sandy Springs campus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
- Oversee continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Utilize monitoring tools to observe the environment.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
- Automate tasks and processes with Kubernetes.
- Assist in critical architecture roadmapping.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience managing systems and services on a cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on experience using Kubernetes (primarily GKE).
- Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible.
- Up to 4 years of experience working with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Strong automation skills with Kubernetes.
Nice-to-haves
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to mentor other engineers offshore and onshore.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
- Local resident of Atlanta area.
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
