About the position

The Governance and Risk Analyst II at Cadence Bank plays a vital role in managing IT change requests and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of IT changes, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate all activities related to IT change requests, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
  • Work closely with IT teams to assess risks and impacts of proposed changes, identifying potential conflicts and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all changes and provide timely communication to stakeholders regarding change schedules and potential disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, preparing documentation for audits as required.
  • Liaise with IT, operations, and business units to ensure alignment on change initiatives and coordinate cross-functional meetings.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of changes and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Assist Incident Management teams by providing information on recent changes that may have impacted systems.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to IT change management and risk management, providing regular reports to Senior Leadership.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT change management or related roles, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, change management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management processes in a financial institution.
  • Experience with risk registry management and control testing preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft and Google applications; Visio and Power BI skills are a plus.
  • Ability to travel a maximum of 10% annually.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Change Management Methodologies such as ITIL or Agile.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
