About the position

The Governance & Control Analyst I is responsible for conducting quality assurance (QA) reviews within Commercial Loan Operations and Servicing. This role aims to strengthen processes through collaboration with Control Framework partners and Operations Leadership. The analyst will perform QA reviews, verify work accuracy, and report results to business partners, ensuring compliance with quality control models and making recommendations for process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA reviews within Commercial Loan Operations and Servicing.
• Collaborate with Control Framework partners and Operations Leadership.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of reviewed materials.
• Evaluate materials against quality control models to detect irregularities.
• Make recommendations for process improvements based on evaluations.
• Provide analytical support for governance and control processes.
• Develop and prepare business metrics and reporting in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Identify issues and control deficiencies to increase standardization of solutions.
• Support the implementation of policies and procedures across functional areas.
• Conduct research projects and support the development of presentations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures.
• Skill in using computer applications including MS Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, research, organize, and prioritize work while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
