About the position

The Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) IT Project Manager Lead will oversee a biomedical research community initiative focused on cybersecurity and cloud computing security. This role involves managing a team of security engineering consultants, ensuring security requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycle, and developing solutions to cybersecurity challenges. The PM will also be responsible for maintaining client relationships, tracking project performance, and presenting updates to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a biomedical research community initiative involving large data sets and federal cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Liaise with Information Security Program leadership and lead a team of security engineering consultants.
  • Ensure security requirements are considered throughout the initiative's lifecycle.
  • Develop creative solutions to cybersecurity challenges and artifacts to support decisions.
  • Provide project management support to improve quality and efficiency of the initiative.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to track performance and administrative duties.
  • Lead the development and presentation of project status updates and artifacts.

Requirements

  • At least 7+ years of experience as a GRC Lead with high level CSAM experience.
  • Ability to organize, direct, and manage complex project tasks.
  • Experience managing teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
  • Lead the development of deliverables and serve as a quality control reviewer.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships at senior levels.
  • Conduct regular briefings with senior leadership on program status and milestones.
  • Familiarity with various stages of the system development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Support compliance activities in accordance with HIPAA and NIST standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field of study.
