About the position

The Government Program Manager at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is responsible for coordinating the activities of project managers and program coordinators to ensure the successful execution of assigned government programs. This role involves managing program schedules, budgets, and resources to meet cost and schedule milestones while ensuring compliance with performance requirements. The position requires strong leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and act as the primary interface with customers during program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Track program schedules to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Manage budgets effectively to achieve cost/margin targets and revenue projections.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new engineering/manufacturing technologies as required.
  • Support Completion and Service Center activities to meet business and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Prepare proposal cost estimates and support negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are provided to the customer in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Act as the primary interface with customers during program execution.
  • Support supplier/customer design and program reviews to ensure program deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met.
  • Track to closure all internal and external actions and open issues.
  • Coordinate with Product Support and/or Completion management to ensure all program, business, and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in aircraft design, manufacturing, or service & support.
  • 3 years of project management experience, including supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in executing government programs preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance if required.
