About the position

The Government Security Compliance Analyst role at Intel's Government Information Technology and Security (GITS) organization focuses on ensuring compliance with U.S. Government regulations and standards. The position involves assessing programs for security requirements, maintaining regulatory evidence, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating training materials related to information safeguarding. The analyst will represent GITS in audits and communicate security requirements to leadership and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing programs to determine special material handling requirements and driving security requirements within the GITS team based on regulations.
  • Maintain regulatory evidence including policies, standards, training, and compliance monitoring.
  • Represent GITS in audit actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments to prioritize security controls deployment and ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and U.S. Government regulations.
  • Coordinate with others to create computer-based and instructor-led material for regulatory training on information safeguarding.
  • Assess impact and communicate relevant information and actions needed regarding new information safeguarding requirements to leadership.
  • Utilize NIST frameworks to assess environments and maintain System Security Plans (SSP's) and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM's).
  • Apply defense-in-depth methodology when assessing the effectiveness of controls.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required due to legal restrictions for supporting U.S. government agency customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with IT Risk Assessment Methodology.
  • 6+ years of experience with NIST Special Publication 800-171/800-53 regulations and documentation methodology.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting or monitoring business activities against U.S. Government regulations such as CUI, ITAR, and EAR.

Nice-to-haves

  • Security or Cyber certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNA, etc.).
  • Experience with U.S. Federal Acquisition FAR and DoD DFAR processes.
  • Experience acting as a Security Control Assessor (SCA).
  • FedRAMP assessor experience.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance.
