About the position

As a Government Strategic Account Executive at MillerKnoll, you will be responsible for growing the company's market share by achieving or exceeding sales goals with an assigned list of government accounts. This role emphasizes collaboration within a high-functioning team environment and requires a strong understanding of the public sector and government procurement trends.

Responsibilities

  • Create, advance, close, and grow assigned government accounts.
  • Act as the primary MillerKnoll point of contact for key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
  • Leverage and promote MillerKnoll's capabilities to position the government value proposition.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of public sector trends impacting government procurement.
  • Spend approximately 85% of time developing focused accounts and 15% representing MillerKnoll in the Public Sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of successful contract/capital goods selling and account management experience preferred.
  • Financial literacy and business acumen regarding capital expenditures and cost of ownership models.
  • Knowledge of MillerKnoll products, services, and culture.
  • Strong selling skills including account penetration, strategic selling, and negotiation.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactics effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and negotiate with diverse groups.
  • Self-starter with confidence to represent MillerKnoll professionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to build long-term effective relationships with customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the public sector and understanding of government procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with MillerKnoll's product offerings and competitive landscape.
