The Behavioral Health Counselor, under the direction of the Behavioral Health Supervisor, is responsible for providing outpatient behavioral health and crisis intervention services to clients who have or are at high risk of developing substance abuse or obsessive gambling disorders. The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for providing services which include screening, intake and orientation, assessment, treatment, discharge planning, and counseling, and for providing prevention services, professional consultation, and coordination of care for other services related to the client's behavioral health needs.
