About the position
The GP G.A.P. Team Specialist role at Aviagen is designed to support the Grower-Aviagen Partnership (G.A.P.) Team in managing the efficient turnaround of poultry rearing and lay facilities. This position involves coordinating various activities from the depletion process to disinfecting and preparing facilities for the next flock. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and be able to foster relationships with contract growers and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and verifying all activities necessary for the move/depletion process through to disinfecting and shavings.
- Fostering and strengthening contract grower relations.
- Communicating effectively with other departments through daily interactions.
- Clearly communicating deadlines to all involved parties.
- Ensuring timelines are appropriate and deadlines are met.
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Conducting daily local travel within the regional production base.
- Maintaining bio-security and health & safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of poultry experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Current driver's license.
