About the position
The GP G.A.P. Team Specialist at Aviagen Group is responsible for coordinating and verifying activities related to the Grower-Aviagen Partnership (G.A.P.) Team. This role focuses on ensuring efficient operations during the downtime between flocks in both rearing and lay facilities. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to foster relationships with contract growers and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and verifying all activities necessary from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings process.
- Fostering and strengthening contract grower relations.
- Fostering and strengthening relationships with other departments through daily communications and interactions.
- Clearly communicating all deadlines to the necessary people involved.
- Ensuring timelines are appropriate and deadlines are met.
- Performing daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Conducting daily local travel within the regional production base.
- Maintaining bio-security and health & safety standards.
- Performing other tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Requirements
- BS in related field or equivalent work experience
- Two years of poultry experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented
- Current driver's license
