About the position

The GP Market Growth Manager at UnitedHealth Group is responsible for driving market growth through agent development, multi-channel growth strategies, and community outreach. This hybrid role involves significant fieldwork, focusing on mentoring agents, conducting training, and executing marketing strategies to enhance the company's presence in the healthcare market. The position requires strong analytical skills to assess market trends and develop strategic plans to improve sales and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, and engage key agents/agencies through ongoing business and strategy planning.
  • Reach out to new agents to share UHC learning and growth tools, designing agent-level plans for success.
  • Identify high performing agents to share resources and support their development.
  • Conduct market-specific trainings for agents, agencies, providers, and influencers.
  • Present the UHC value proposition at various events and training sessions.
  • Find opportunities for Direct to Consumer (DTC) marketing based on geographic nuances.
  • Identify, train, and manage agents for provider activities and community outreach.
  • Research and monitor sales and retention trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Address disenrollment outliers and execute local market strategies for retention.
  • Review lead outcomes and manage lead distribution for sales initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • State health and life insurance license must be obtained within 90 days from hire date
  • 3+ years of sales/business development experience
  • Ability to be 75% field-based in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties in Florida
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven success exceeding company sales goals
  • Established professional relationships with local/community contacts
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Ability to travel locally around 60% of the time
  • Access to reliable transportation for client and community site visits

  • 1+ years of leadership experience in sales
  • 1+ years of marketing or community outreach experience
  • Sales experience in the insurance industry
  • Experience in Medicare products or managed care
  • Knowledge of CMS marketing rules and regulations
