As a GP Market Growth Manager, you will play a crucial role in impacting the lives of millions by building a more responsive, affordable, and equitable health care system. This hybrid role allows you to work from home and the office, primarily focusing on field-based activities, with 75% of your time spent in the field. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching key agents and agencies, engaging in business and strategy planning, and identifying sales opportunities to drive growth in the market. Your primary responsibilities will include agent development, where you will mentor and engage agents through ongoing business planning, onboarding new agents, and managing resource distribution. You will also conduct market-specific training sessions, present the UHC value proposition at various events, and develop marketing strategies tailored to the community's demographics. Additionally, you will execute provider strategies, engage in community outreach, and build relationships with community leaders to enhance our market presence. In your role, you will analyze sales and retention trends, address disenrollment issues, and identify efficiency gains through direct-to-consumer strategies. You will be expected to lead oversight and distribution of leads, contribute to operational improvements, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage conflict, and foster relationships will be essential in achieving your goals and driving holistic growth in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, and engage key agents/agencies through ongoing business and strategy planning.
  • Reach out to new agents to share UHC learning, growth tools, and value proposition.
  • Identify high performing or high potential agents to share resources such as MIRA, FMA, and sponsorships.
  • Engage in outbound call campaigns to drive sales.
  • Conduct market-specific trainings for key agent populations, agencies, providers, and influencers.
  • Present the UHC value proposition at UHC-owned or EDC-owned events.
  • Find opportunities for Direct to Consumer (DTC)-specific marketing based on geographic nuances.
  • Identify, train, and manage agents assigned to work on provider activities.
  • Find new locations for community outreach and negotiate terms with organizations.
  • Research and monitor sales, retention, and other trends to identify compliance and leverage UHC tools for sales opportunities.
  • Address disenrollment outliers and execute plan change strategies specific to the local market.
  • Review lead outcomes and recycle leads for call blitzes or other outbound initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • State health and life insurance license must be obtained and maintained within 90 days from hire date.
  • 3+ years of sales/business development experience.
  • Ability to be 75% field-based in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties within Florida.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven success exceeding company sales goals and deliverables.
  • Proven established professional relationships with local/community contacts.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English.
  • Ability to travel locally around 60% of the time.
  • Access to reliable transportation to travel to client and/or community sites.

  • Sales experience in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in Medicare products, consumers, or managed care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CMS marketing rules and regulations.
