About the position
The GP Pest Management Supervisor will be responsible for managing the GP Pest Management Specialists in the Elkmont, AL area. This role involves overseeing pest management activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication with management regarding pest control issues.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily monitoring of GP farms for pests and/or activity
- Taking corrective actions and following up on problem areas
- Completing weekly reports of findings and actions taken
- Observing on-farm bio-security practices and following all company bio-security programs
- Utilizing computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting
- Following company pest management programs with attention to detail
- Adhering to health and safety rules and regulations, including understanding SDS sheets
- Reading labels on chemicals for proper applications and environmental regulations
- Providing management with daily updates on current problem areas and ongoing treatment plans
Requirements
- Supervisory experience
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR
- Ability to obtain a chemical application license
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Trustworthy and honest
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
- Critical thinking skills for improving pest management programs
- Ability to work unsupervised
- No ownership or contact with any type of avian species
- Proficient in using technology to compile records and present trends
