About the position

The GP Pest Management Supervisor is responsible for managing the GP Pest Management Specialists in the Elkmont, AL area. This role involves overseeing pest management activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication with management regarding pest control issues and treatment plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to company protocols.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily monitoring of GP farms for pests and/or activity.
• Taking corrective actions and following up on problem areas.
• Completing weekly reports of findings and actions taken legibly.
• Observing on-farm bio-security practices and following all company bio-security programs at all times.
• Utilizing computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and record-keeping.
• Following company pest management programs in detail.
• Understanding and adhering to health and safety rules and regulations, including reading SDS sheets.
• Reading labels on chemicals for proper applications and environmental regulations.
• Providing management with daily updates on current problem areas and ongoing treatment plans.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• Ability to obtain a chemical application license.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Trustworthy and honest character.
• Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Critical thinking skills for future developments in pest management programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
