About the position

The GPS Salesforce Manager at Deloitte is responsible for leading client engagements in the public sector, focusing on Salesforce implementation and integration. This role involves advising clients on best practices, managing technical teams, and ensuring successful delivery of solutions that align with clients' business strategies. The position also emphasizes business development, people development, and contributing to the growth of the practice through thought leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on leading practices and technology trends, application architecture, and solution design.
  • Build lasting relationships with key client managers and staff through daily interactions.
  • Deliver solutions that enable clients to achieve their business strategies.
  • Present technical alternatives and recommendations aligned with client requirements.
  • Contribute to project estimating, planning, contracting, and staffing activities.
  • Manage technical and functional teams to design, build, test, and implement enterprise applications.
  • Anticipate and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Monitor project progress and quality, tracking and reporting status.
  • Participate in sales pursuits and present proposals to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor and coach team members to help them achieve their career objectives.
  • Participate in recruiting and onboarding activities, developing staffing plans, and screening candidates.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives that drive growth, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
  • 6+ years of consulting and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Full life-cycle Salesforce implementation and product delivery experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative, agile environment.
  • Prior experience managing and leading teams.
  • Salesforce integration skills with MuleSoft or other middleware products.
  • Client-facing experience with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong core consulting skills, including organization and communication.
  • Ability to travel 20%-50% based on work and client needs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Salesforce product offerings.
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive complex issues through analysis and resolution.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design patterns including SOA and Micro-Services.
  • Prior professional services or government consulting experience.
