About the position

The Grade Foreman at R.S. Audley, Inc. is a managerial role focused on overseeing excavation and placement of materials in major civil construction projects. This position is crucial for ensuring that project work aligns with plans and specifications while maintaining safety standards and managing on-site personnel and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the excavation and placement of embankment and select materials according to project plans.
• Direct and manage all on-site construction workers and subcontractors.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies on the job site.
• Document daily quantity sheets, timesheets, and other job-related paperwork.
• Manage employee performance and address any issues that arise.
• Communicate effectively with field superintendent and subcontractors to coordinate work.
• Conduct weekly tailgate safety meetings and maintain a clean job site.
• Participate in training and development to enhance technical skills.
• Ensure job equipment and tools are maintained in good working order.

Requirements

• Management experience in construction or related field.
• Proficiency in construction management software and GPS technologies.
• Strong math skills for calculating quantities and grade profiles.
• Supervising experience with on-site construction workers.
• Valid Driver's License.
