About the position
The position involves working on production lines to sort incoming raw products such as peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers according to specific customer product specifications. This critical function is responsible for maximizing the usage of incoming products by ensuring that all products meeting the specifications are packaged, while those that do not meet the specifications are properly sorted and separated. The role requires learning various customer product specifications and applying this knowledge effectively on the production line.
Responsibilities
- Learn and memorize general and customer-oriented specifications for raw product.
- Utilize learned specifications to quickly and accurately sort raw product.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with produce or in a production environment preferred.
- Ability to learn and retain a wealth of product and customer knowledge.
- Ability to make critical decisions quickly and repeatedly.
- Manual dexterity: ability to work with hands for the entire shift.
