About the position

The assistant strength coach is responsible for teaching correct weight lifting and conditioning techniques to student-athletes. This includes designing and implementing lifting and conditioning programs tailored for student-athletes, providing instruction during sessions and games, and evaluating the effectiveness of these programs and the progress of the student-athletes. The role also involves the proper care and routine maintenance of equipment, as well as providing education on nutrition and nutritional supplements. The assistant strength coach works directly with all coaches and athletic trainers and is responsible for supervising assistants, graduate assistants, and work-study students. Additionally, the position emphasizes teaching student-athletes positive Christian life skills.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience as a player or coach required.
  • Strength certifications required.
