About the position

Halff Associates Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team in Richardson, TX. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to develop their careers in civil engineering. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in designing civil engineering projects. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be involved in various aspects of project design, including performing drafting work using CAD software, conducting calculations and analyses for design projects, and assisting in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents. You will also coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors, and attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met. Responsibilities

  • Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Perform drafting CAD work
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Driving Record
  • The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year
  • Experience in MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer is a plus
  • Additional knowledge of applicable roadway and drainage modules a plus
  • New graduates are highly encouraged to apply
