About the position

Halff Associates Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Frisco, TX. This position is designed for a motivated individual who is eager to contribute to various projects while collaborating closely with both internal and external clients. The primary responsibilities will include performing flood risk education and planning, as well as designing flood infrastructure for both private and public stormwater systems. Responsibilities

  • Work on projects related to water resources and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to meet project goals.
  • Perform flood risk education and planning activities.
  • Design flood infrastructure for private and public stormwater systems.
  • Create cost-effective and sustainable solutions for municipalities and governmental agencies.

Requirements

  • 0-2+ years of experience in water resources preferred.
  • Ability to work in teams and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong technical background in civil engineering.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
  • Experience with 2D modeling and integrated H&H modeling.
  • Familiarity with CADD software packages.
  • Floodplain Manager certification or ability to obtain within six months.
  • EIT license in the state of Texas.
