About the position

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer in the Water Resources group in Orlando, Florida. This role involves assisting senior engineers and project managers with various civil engineering tasks, including modeling, engineering analyses, stormwater engineering design, report writing, and developing technical specifications in riverine, coastal, and estuarine environments. The position supports civil engineering design tasks for both public and private sector clients, emphasizing customer satisfaction, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and project managers in project tasks.
• Conduct modeling and engineering analyses.
• Design stormwater engineering solutions.
• Write reports and develop technical specifications.
• Support civil engineering design tasks for public and private sector clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 1 - 4 years of experience in water resources planning and infrastructure resilience, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, coastal engineering, and related fields.
• Designation as an Engineer Intern (EI) or ability to acquire within one year of employment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and understand construction engineering plans and drawings.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, ICPR, InfoWorks ICM, HSPF, SMS software.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of extreme value analysis and computer programming for engineering applications.
