About the position

Halff Associates Inc. is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer specializing in Water and Wastewater to join our team in Richardson, TX. This position is designed for recent graduates who are eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment under the direct supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). The role will focus on various utility projects, particularly in the areas of pipeline conveyance, pump station, and lift station design. As a Graduate Engineer, you will be involved in the production of pipeline conveyance plans and 3D modeling, contributing to the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (P,S,&E). Responsibilities

  • Work under a licensed Professional Engineer in the development of pipeline conveyance plan production and 3D modeling.
  • Create detailed plan production in support of development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (P,S,&E).
  • Perform engineering-related computations and calculations.
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
  • Attend meetings with clients and other agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Passed FE exam or ability to acquire within six months of employment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is preferred.
  • A positive attitude, self-directed yet with the ability to implement direction from project leadership.
  • A drive to learn with a focus on quality, integrity, and success.
