About the position
The Graduate Employee-Teaching and Learning Center - Office Assistant position is designed for graduate students to provide administrative support within the Teaching & Learning Center (TLC). The role involves greeting visitors, answering inquiries about TLC programs, and performing various office tasks to ensure smooth operations during business hours. The position emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to helping others while adhering to departmental policies.
Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically assist visitors and callers with routine questions about the department and university.
- Help keep the reception, conference room, and break room areas clean and organized.
- Perform general office tasks, such as data entry, copying, filing, and creating and distributing various documents.
- Create Qualtrix surveys.
- Assist with updating the TLC website.
- Manage conference room reservations.
- Monitor and organize supply inventories and program materials.
- Prepare event materials and presentations.
- Work with the department team to set up and tear down and assist during faculty program events and workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 GPA required to apply.
