Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design calculations for bridges and other transportation structures
• Provide mentorship to graduate engineers
• Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions and develop repair alternatives
• Oversee construction of transportation structures
• Communicate with clients, agencies, and the public

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required, with an emphasis in structures preferred
• 1+ years of prior bridge design experience preferred
• EIT required
• MicroStation proficiency preferred
• Experience designing structures following Iowa DOT Standards preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Solid leadership and collaboration skills
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
