About the position

As a Graduate Engineer - Structural at WSB, you will be part of a team focused on bridge design and various structural projects for clients including cities, counties, and private entities. This role involves working under the supervision of Professional Engineers to deliver efficient and high-quality designs, performing structural calculations, developing engineering drawings, and participating in inspections and evaluations of existing structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge design and other structural design for various clients.
• Conduct structural calculations for new and existing structures.
• Collaborate with engineering technicians to develop engineering drawings.
• Create project specifications and special provisions.
• Participate in structural inspections and write reports on existing facilities.
• Provide structural design and analysis for retaining walls, buildings, and hydraulic structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school.
• Master's of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is a plus but not required.
• Coursework, research, or internship experience in bridge and related structural design is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with LRFD design procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for basic calculations.
• Basic drawing skills in Microstation or AutoCAD.
• Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn from experienced engineers and technicians.
