About the position

Aguirre & Fields is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Graduate Engineer - Roadway Division in our Austin, TX office. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership with grit and character by being a good communicator, having an interest in learning, be inspiring, a visionary, a team builder, live our Purpose, help achieve our Vision, allow others to shine, taking responsibility, leading by example, and being dependable, respectful, passionate and an active listener.
  • Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks by a professional engineer.
  • Perform routine technical work.
  • Prepare routine plans, designs and calculations, and cost estimates by following standard engineering practices and procedures within established guidelines.
  • Acquire an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Receive close supervision on all aspects of assignments.
  • Interact and assist with other staff on assignments.
  • Assume other duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, practices, and rules.
  • Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Guiding Principles.
  • Live our Purpose and help achieve our Vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred but not required
  • Relevant technology/software experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
